The recipes and nutrition information on this website are for general information and are written for healthy adults. They are not a substitute for advice from a doctor or qualified dietitian.
- Nutrition values are estimates calculated from ingredient quantities using the Indian Food Composition Tables 2017 and typical product labels. They have not been laboratory-analysed.
- No recipe or plan on this site treats, cures or prevents any disease, and none is a weight-loss treatment.
- The diet planner gives estimates of calorie and protein needs using standard formulas. It is not a diagnostic or treatment tool and does not know your medical history.
- Please seek professional advice before changing your diet if you have kidney or liver disease, diabetes, heart disease or another medical condition; if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; if you have or have had an eating disorder; if you follow a prescribed therapeutic diet; or if you are planning meals for children.
- Higher protein is not automatically better. If your doctor has advised a protein limit, follow that advice.
- Whey and other protein supplements are optional. ICMR-NIN's 2024 Dietary Guidelines for Indians advise against relying on protein supplements.
